Pizza, Pizza, & More Pizza – Americans Love Pizza


There so many different ways to make pizza. Pizza can be made with many unique toppings, different types of sauces, different types of pizza dough and many different types of cheese.

The toppings on a pizza are so limitless. Can you imagine a pizza with bananas or tuna?  There are pizzeria’s that offer fruit, seafood, and even Thanksgiving dinner on top of a pizza pie.

There are many different sauces that you can use on a pizza, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce, barbecue sauce and even white sauce. What we call White Pizza is made with a white sauce. We make our white pizza with a garlic sauce. People tend to think that a white pizza is healthier than red sauce pizza. But, what about the pizza is the healthiest for you? The healthiest thing about pizza is the lycopene-rich tomato sauce in which recent studies found may help protect against the development of prostate cancer. Though you may not like tomato sauce it is the healthiest part of pizza. Pizzas are usually very tasty but can be high in fat, refined carbs, and calories because most are made with large amounts of cheese and processed meat. Any vegetable makes a healthier topping than a meat topping. Vegetable pizzas tend to have fewer calories and less fat. There are a lot of tasty vegetables you can have as a pizza topping and are a great way to help if you are watching your weight. Here are a few great vegetable pizza toppings:
